Faced with the need to modernize their fleet and manage charging infrastructure efficiently, Onitio partnered with Assemblin and Wallbox to implement a cutting-edge solution: 8 Wallbox Supernova DC fast chargers. This transformation allowed Onitio to electrify 250 vehicles, driving 600,000 kilometers per month with 80% of charging on their own infrastructure.

Fast charging was critical

Onitio’s rapid transition to an electric fleet required a robust charging network to ensure vehicles were always available for customer visits. Relying on AC chargers alone was not enough; the need for fast charging during the day was critical.

Without proper fast charging infrastructure, vehicle downtime would increase, leading to missed customer visits and rising costs.

Onitio’s solution: Wallbox Supernova

By installing 8 Wallbox Supernova 60 kW DC fast chargers, Onitio overcame their charging challenges. With the expertise of Assemblin and technical guidance from Senergia, the fast chargers were installed seamlessly, ensuring Onitio’s fleet was always ready to go.

Onitio chose the Wallbox Supernova for its compact design, clear display, easy integration with our existing driver identification system via OCPP, and because they are the most stylish fast chargers on the market with excellent surfaces for branding.

The chargers also feature user-friendly interfaces, scalability for future needs, and full backend control via Assemblin Charge, giving Onitio complete oversight of their charging operations.

The results speak for themselves

Reduced CO2 emissions

Onitio’s fleet of 250 electric vehicles consumes 100,000 kWh per month, reducing emissions by nearly 100,000 kg of CO2 each month.

Cost savings

By using their own charging infrastructure, Onitio significantly reduced reliance on public chargers and lowered operational costs.

Recognition

Onitio’s sustainable efforts were recognized by Hewlett Packard, awarding them the World Wide Climate Action Reward for fleet efficiency.

The collaboration between Assemblin, Onitio, Wallbox and Senergia was a great success. Wallbox provided a flexible, high-performing solution, while the partnership allowed us to deliver a seamless installation process. Together, we ensured that Onitio’s fleet stays operational and ready, while also paving the way for future scalability.
